London has some daddy issues, and I liked the way she tries to resolve them throughout the story so that it doesn’t negatively affect the other areas of her life. Surprisingly, the most conflict comes from family dynamics, which adds a nice layer to the story. I expected the biggest drama would be Drew’s responsibility for the financial audit of London’s struggling public hospital. I was initially bothered by London’s petty behavior, but the story explores the deeper cause of her feelings, and it makes her more relatable. When passion and animosity collide, great angry sex is sure to follow! Drew is so patient and understanding waiting for London to come to her senses.
